Yeah, they were cool. Good productions. They always looked like some football, linebacker playing, down at Venice Beach weightlifting phased through Mazarati looking motherfuckers!

I have their first four albums and I liked 'Smoove' the most. They fell off after that.

They also did great production work for other artists in the 80s:

Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam
UTFO
Cheryl Pepsii Riley
Ex-Girlfriend
Samantha Fox
James Brown
La La
Jasmine Guy
The Weather Girls

I got their first 4 too. And "smoove" is my personal fav. Odd. I like "the man upstairs" even eek i like the sentiment and arragement. Plus nothing swings like "dont waste my time".....

"if u ain't down with the program". biggrin

Yeah Jasmine Guys "try me" was awesome. I still bang that track. Also Latoya Jacksons "your gonna get rocked" album has good full force tracks. Fav being "you blew".

they were the best in the 2 house party movies aswell. Who can forget the squelky voiced one saying his catchphrase "i'm gonna kcik ur fucking ass". Ha, they had comic timing o doubt in those movies. They were natural. A sitcom was crying out for them (and the whole cast of "house party")

I was just hearing the 12" remix of James Browns "i'm real". They do well on that album, but I guess the hardcore JB fans proberly poo poo it as they would of done on the Hartman produced "gravity"

I really used to love these guys to death with their sexy muscles. Despite, their jerhri curls. These have proved that they staying power in the biz by producing hits throughout the 80's to the present for artists like the late great Seleana, boy bands like: Backstreet Boys and 98'.

I would call myself a hardcore JB fan, and hold his 60 and 70 output as essential and totally amazing. Still I loooove that whole "I'm real" album experience. Full Force brought him an contemporary sound without selling out, and still kept it real sticking mainly to the originial JB formula. It was James best album for quite some years, and he was not able to top this with any of his later 80 and 90 albums.

Yep, and Full Force were slammin, no doubt. I got all of their albums and most productions they did for other artists. They deserved to be H.U.G.E. instead of fading away more or less... neutral

Now gimme some STATIC headbang
Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

I never knew so many orgers liked Full Force. Their solo work always seemed to be forgotten when talking about 80s R&B.

As I mentioned on another thread,Full Force's 1987 album 'Guess Who's Comin To The Crib' is their masterpiece. That album should have turned them into superstars.Every track is superb, especially "Take Care Of Homework","Low Blow Brenda","Katty Women","Love Is For Suckers","Your Love Is So Def" and the slow jam "All In My Mind".
