They are one of my favorite groups. I am not feeling their latest album though. However, I am starting to dig their 1st single Robot Rock. As for the Discovery Cartoon, I remember reading somewhere on the net that there is an actual short film based on the album but it goes under another name. [Edited 5/16/05 17:07pm]

with the exception of the latest album, daft punk rocks. the newest one seems to be getting pretty much panned across the board, and i'm not surprised. it's boring. though i hear their next single is gonna have some good remixes on it, including one by peaches. whuut...?

They have released five CDs as Daft Punk...
1. Homework - the original and best 2. Discovery - fantastic and commercial (Disco Very - geddit?) 3. Human After All - I wanted to love it....I love half of it. Shame 4. Live In Birmingham - released a few years ago. Worth a listen 5. Daft Club - Remixes from Discovery (free with the Interstella 5555 DVD) Two DVDs... 1. "Daft Punk - A story about dogs, androids, firemen and tomatoes" - great value DVD with all videos from Homework plus a live show 2. Interstella 5555 - a full length manga accompaniment to Discovery made by Leiji Matsumoto I love Daft Punk.

i think 'discovery' is their masterpiece thus far. i'm not a big fan of 'homework', but i know people who swear by it. 'human after all' was a big disappointment across the board. i've yet to hear from someone who thinks it's a great - or even good - album.

it makes me REALLY appreciate basement jaxx's 'kish-kash', which i originally thought was kind of a lame follow-up to 'rooty', but i've learned to love...and after that daft punk album, i REALLY love it.

I know I liked at least 51/2 songs on that album, plus it featured more tracks and wasnt just pishpash together like how this "Human.." album sounds. Technologic sounds like a funky throwaway b-side, Robot Rock is repetitive, though it's still coo...Human After All is ok, but just an opening track. paisleypark4 i didn't know they were on that Stardust tune? . I know that this song was played all over the clubs and all over radio alot like in 99 00 I believe not sure how long ago it was, but when I downloaded it sho nuff it was called "Stardust & Daft Punk - Music Sounds Better". Not sure if there is a 'regular' version because I dont know who Stardust is. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Prince is to Jamie Starr as Daft Punk is to Stardust.
Stardust was Daft Punk's side project. They wanted to see if they were successful under a different name, so they released that song under that name, not as Daft Punk. Xperience the Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com/

Thanks guys, good to see other Daft fans on the org. The Daft Punk site is kinda lame anyone know an org style site for Daft Punk. Maybe one with some background history, discography or something?

they're alright. the novelty wears off quickly though. you can only listen to 3 words being passed off as a song so many times. "Awards are like hemorrhoids. Sooner or later, every asshole gets one."

To my knoweledge, it was only a 12'/Maxi Single release of Music Sounds Better With You and that's it. Now, Anxiety can correct me if I am wrong. But, I don't remember Stardust(DaftPunk) releasing any other stuff in 99.
