Anita Ward 'Songs Of Love'(1979)---paid only $1.95 for this one.Contains the big disco hit "Ring My Bell",which is presented in a cool, extended version.I was always curious about what the other songs sound like.I haven't had a chance to hear this album yet,but I heard that the other songs aren't really disco at all....mostly soul ballads and midtempo stuff.

I used to have this 8-track. My favorite tracks other than Ring My Bell were Sweet Splendor and You Lied.

"Make Believe Lover" is nice....it would have made an excellent second single. Her vocals remind me of Deniece Williams.

This is the album I want too! It contains "Our Love" (one of her best ballads) and "Annie Mae".

Kinda both. I don't know her old material well, but I've seen a few of her recent concert broadcasts on TV and was blown away. I've always kinda wanted to check her out. But the "Inseparable" album cover absolutely cracks me up every time I see it. Freebase, anyone?

Her 70s music is GREAT.She was doing R&B back then. Many critics compared her to Aretha Franklin. These days, she sings mostly jazz.

'Inseparable' is an excellent debut album.I'm sure you're familiar with the first single "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)",which became a huge hit.Other gems include the title track and "I Can't Say No".

KC and The Sunshine Band 'Do You Wanna Go Party'(1979)---paid only $1.95 for this record.Didn't get a chance to hear it yet.It contains the title track (which I consider to be one of their most underrated singles) and "Please Don't Go".I think this was their last hit album.

I've got to get this one. All I have is the single version of "Do You Wanna Go Party" on a greatest hits compilation. I want the version with the live crowd at the beginning of the song.

I finally listened to the KC and The Sunshine Band album. It's cool. And yes,it contains the long, extended version of "Do You Wanna Go Party".It actually sounds more like a 12" remix, with all the handclaps and party noises.VERY funky. The album also contains a wonderful cover of the 1975 Sam Dees hit "I Betcha Didn't Know That",which has always been one of my favorite songs.
