If I can recall, I think they had a comeback tour or something like that a couple of years ago along with other old school acts like Ready For The World.

But the last time I saw Lisa Lisa was on that VH1 Classic Thanksgiving special last year.

"Head To Toe" and "Lost in Emotion" was the shit back in the day.

Last year I saw Lisa on the VH1 Classic Thanksgiving special with Lita Ford, Hammer, Dee Snider and some other dude. Before that, she did an episode of Law & Order. She's older & a little heavier, but she still looks as sweet as ever. I'd love to hit that. J-HO WISHES she could sing like my girl Lisa.

i remember the FIRST time I saw/heard them on the "Someone To love Me For Me" single my mom bought. I didnt realise how good the albums were until 2 years ago.

Never did dig them much. I felt full force did better with latoya jackson. "wicked love" throwsdown funkier then anything lisa lisa did.

Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam was my second concert ever back in 1988. The opening act was Full Force. I used to be really into them.

I only know 'Head To Toe'

Btw i have a Full force album , the one with 'Alice I want You Just For Me'

They sure sound off key on songs , like 'Please Stay' and 'The Man Upstairs'

That was their first album--not their best. Their next three were much better: 'Full Force Get Busy 1 Time', 'Guess Who's Comin' To The Crib', and 'Smoove'. The b-sides on their 12" singles had some great comedy versions of their songs. Or at least I thought they were funny when I was 16.

"Static" is a James Brown song produced by Full Force. His entire 'I'm Real' album back in 1988 was produced by Full Force. That might be the last good album James Brown released.

I really liked Full Force. Their sound was mostly go-go/hip-hop leaning funk, but they also did the freestyle thing for Lisa Lisa And Cult Jam ("I Wonder If I Take You Home") as well as house tracks for Samantha Fox ("I Wanna Have Some Fun") and straight up hip-hop for UTFO ("Roxanne Roxanne"). Anyway, their own albums were balanced with uptempo tracks like "Unfaithful" and "Ain't My Type Of Hype" and old school ballads like "All In My Mind" (Their only top 10 R&B hit). Their best albums are the ones I mentioned in an earlier post, but if you're looking to sample their stuff then maybe you should first try their 'Ahead of Their Time!: Full Force's Greatest Hits' compilation. It's the best one I've seen so far.

They did this awesome song with Samantha Fox titled "All I Wanna Do" (not be confused with "I Wanna Have Some Fun"). It really good and frankly, should have been a Sam Fox single. It was released in the early ninties, when Sam was pretty much done on the charts (saldy)...

It's a freestyle and funk classic. Listenin 2 it on CD for the first time last night is wonderful.

I have the first 3 Full Force albums and that first album was terrible! it was off key lol! the beats were like Then it got a lil' better with "Get Busy One Time" with trax like "Unfaithful" "Never Had A love Like This" and "Old Flames Never Die" were all great funk jams.

"3:00 Schools Out" / "Your Love Is Do Def" (one of my favorite funk slow jams ever) "Black Radio" "Katty Women" were funky as hell.

They did do a good job on the uptempo trax on X Girlfriend's album. I love "Why Cant U Come Home" as some1 mentioned. I still got that video (u'd love it Sex Of It).

I remember when I was 8, everytime Mom turned on the radio, Lost In Emotion or Head To Toe was on. I liked them but I got tired of them. Now I'd do anything to hear something even a quarter as good as those songs. Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam really were the shit. I'd love to see them make a big comeback.

cha know.....lisa lisa comes up often in this forum but rarely do people mention "all cried out"...

Full Force rose to prominence in the mid-'80s, writing and producing popular R&B hits for Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam before embarking on a moderately successful solo career that ultimately led them back to production work in the late '90s. The six-man collective -- featuring Paul Anthony, Bowlegged Lou, B-Fine, Baby Gerry, Shy Shy, and Curt-t-t -- originated in Brooklyn, NY, where they originally met up with Steve Salem in the late '70s, a business-savvy individual who functioned as their manager. With a manager in place and plenty of talent between the various group members, Full Force struggled throughout the early '80s to find a label willing to sign them. Eventually they got a break when they wrote and produced fellow Brooklyn group U.T.F.O.'s "Roxanne Roxanne," a rap song that would attain a certain level of fame thanks to a series of answer records. In early 1985, the single peaked at number ten on Billboard's R&B charts, proving a substantial hit for both the rap group and the production team. From there, Full Force moved onto their next major success with Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam, a dance-pop group led by a 16-year-old singer named Lisa Velez. Originally Velez had auditioned for the production team, who then went ahead and recorded "I Wonder if I Take You Home" with her, releasing the single under the moniker Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam With Full Force on an indie New York label, Personal. The song scored success initially overseas before eventually being released by Columbia in the U.S. after getting immense play in New York clubs as an import single. Almost overnight, the song topped Billboard's dance chart and went on to peak at number six on the R&B chart by summer 1985. Thanks to the momentum surrounding the hit single, Full Force signed a deal with Columbia to release solo material. Though they scored some minor R&B hits on their own ("Temporary Love Thing," "Unfaithful So Much," "All in My Mind"), their biggest success continued to be as a production team for Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam ("All Cried Out," "Head to Toe," "Lost in Emotion"). In 1988, Full Force produced James Brown's I'm Real, scoring a substantial hit for the struggling legend with the album's title track, and worked with a number of late-'80s dance-pop stars: Jasmine Guy, Cheryl Pepsii Riley, and Samantha Fox, among others. Throughout the early and mid-'90s, the production team remained relatively quiet before again churning out a number of late-'90s R&B-flavored pop hits with Selena, Backstreet Boys, and LFO, among others.
