Common - BE "The Best Hip HOp Album of the year?"

From the five songs I've heard off this Lp I can tell you that I'm truly blown way. I think Common has definatley come full circle and returned to the str8 forward hip hop of 94' and the soulful vibe of "like water for choclate." Can wait for this album to come out.

I gotta agree. I wasn't highly impressed by Corners, but when I heard the rest I was very happy. mr.green

The first singles from his last few albums have never been good indications of what to expect.

The "Corner" is by far the WEAKEST song out of the 11 tracks on the CD..It's a CLASSIC!

Common said Kanye has raised the bar on this album. Kanye thinks it's better than College Dropout and now feels when he comes with his next album he has a true challenge before him because BE is just that good.

Common also said he was excited about the album because some reviewers have called it a 'classic' already. I'm anxious to hear what John Mayer contributed as well.

I love Common and he's had some serious joints but I always find there's something missing that keep his albums from being completely tight.

The only thing about this joint is that there are only 11 tracks. And only one Jay Dee track. But Jay Dee took it back to that Fantastic Vol. 2 type beats true classics.

I think the intro B.E. is probably the best since Nas' Stillmatic intro.

It has got clasic from the Scource and 1/2 away from classic in Vibe. IM REALLY LOOKING forward to this. They just dont throw classic material up front like that. I havent seen them do this since "THe Blueprint" which deserved that title. dancing jig So excited. WHEN IS IT COMMIN OUT!!??

Electric Circus really did blow me away. He made a fan outta me with that one....well plus the Prince thingie and the cover was a nice take on the Beatles thingamagiggie. At least it didnt have him lookin like one of those Master P covers or holding a whole bunch of money looking stupid.

The song called "GO" about sexual fantasies is kinda hot. This song sums up all the sex songs that are out now, but its very intelligent, it was done in a tight kind of way....Common is so good with his words that it blew me away the first time I heard it. The album is very good, his best since "like water for chocolate" that i still can't seem to shake out of my system...

The old Common Sense is back ya'll!!!!!
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

If the Corner is the weakest song on the cd than this is going to be a masterpiece.
