d'angelo Sorry, but I completely disagree. TTD and D both had great cd's after there debut. Voodoo is better than Brown Sugar IMO. Co-sign. Introducing the hardline is a great album, but all albums Sananda/TTD released afterwards are even better With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

lilgish said: thesexofit said: CUT OUT BIN SALE.....everything must go!!!!! yeah mark wahlberg and gerardo represent that great class of "I dont give a shit if I dont look like a thug" rappers phase that lasted for about 2 years. Ironically it was around 1990-1991. As 4 joey, he represents shameless tv cash-in ("blossom") as did jeremy jordan that same year ("beverly hills 90210") but he never made a second album. Joey may be no threat to the beatles for greatest album ever, but to me, his album beats most out there. Thats the word. George lamond is cool. If u like freestyle that is.

Moby Grape's first album from 1967 is one of the greatest rock albums of all time in my estimation. Every song practically bursts with melody, unique harmonies and imaginative arrangements that still sound fresh today - but it's the only good album they ever recorded. Everything else they did was mediocre at best, and a lot of it was flat-out awful, the worst being an album filled with nothing but loose jams that completely contradicted what made the band so great in the first place - tight song construction.

Howard Jones - Human`s Lib
And I disagree about Pearl Jam. They dont make hits anymore like on their first album but the quality of their music just keeps getting better with each album.

Holy shit yeah. Best example. Their first 2 albums are still amazing. "be here now" had its moments, but after that..... no chance. Funny how noel ADMITS to saying he will never better his first. Surprisenly honest thoughts from noel. Never have i seen an artist be so honest about their albums. it is funny and interesting.

Some new artists deliver such a buzz because of the magic and quality of their debutrecord, but after that never seem to reach that hights again.
Right now i am thinking about the following artists / records: - Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes - Lenny Kravitz - Let love rule - The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses - Living colour - Vivid - Pearl Jam - Ten - Rage against the machine - Rage against the Machine - Nick Drake - Five Leaves Left You have any other examples? (or you disagree, with my view, thats possible of course...lol) I don't agree with Lenny. His second album Mama Said is fantastic and so is "are you gonna go my way". Having said that, Alanis Morrisette comes to mind. Other then Jagged Little Pill, all her cd's have sucked. I couldn't agree with you more. Lenny did get better w/time. Whereas, Alanis' career went on a decline after her debut album.
