Wasn't there an album with a completely differen tracklisting that stevie was planning on releasing before In square circle that got cancelled? I've heard that that album would have been WAY better than anything he did in the 80s. Yes,there was an album that Stevie was working on during this period. It was titled 'People Move,Human Plays' and it was even given a catalog number (Tamla6047).Most of it was recorded in 1983,and it was scheduled for release several times in early 1984.It was cancelled when Stevie was asked to do the 'The Woman In Red' movie soundtrack instead. Some of the likely tracks from that cancelled album include... "Rise,Everybody" "Whatcha Talkin' Bout" "It's Growing" "Cold World,Warm Girl" "Nobody Loves Me" "Big Bad and Bold One" "What You Don't Know" "Broken Glass" "World 84" "Changing The Lock To My Heart" "I Know Something" "Quicksand Love" "All The Way" "I'm Talking About The Love" "You Can Never Miss" "On And On" "Jah's Coming" "Got To Have It" I'd kill to get my hands on a bootleg of this "mystery project" [Edited 5/19/05 5:31am]

If I remember correctly the name of the mystery album was Time Moves Human Plays or something to that affect.

Well, it's true. Most of his 80s stuff was pretty mediocre. Hotter Than July was the best of the bunch. In Square Circle had a few good songs, too. Overjoyed.

Went back to this album, and a few songs have grown on me.
You Will Know is great, Skeletons and Free are good, and My Eyes Don't Cry is quite good too. The rest are average or bordering on bad. The album's still just so lackluster. [Edited 5/23/05 5:38am] The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.
