The Charlatans and Prince although, I usually say "The Charlatans are my favorite, but Prince is the best" I never knew he had any competition for you.

I rarely hear prince at the mo'. I spend most of my time over here because of the variety of threads. There is only so much you can talk about when dealing with only one artist and Prince is no exception. I still go over to the Prince section from time to time to rattle some of the obsessed fams' cages. To hear me talk sometimes over there, you wouldn't think I was a Prince fan at all. Some of them would like to chase me out of there holding sticks with fire on the end (like when they chased Frankenstein). The truth is, I have such strong love and admiration for the man himself and his earlier work that it kept me hanging on after everyone else I knew jumped ship. I still enjoy all his work after the major style change in 1985 but don't consider it as absolutely "great" like before the change. The fact that I don't find "Parade" and "Sign O The Times" the masterpiece that they do, it rattles a lot of cages over there. Some of them really get bent out of shape, but hey, who cares. I don't really have a "favorite" artist.I like too many people, and it would be impossible for me to pick just one artist as my favorite.
