What a good song and most importantly, speaks the truth. Friends are scandalous. I am glad to not have any right now. I used to have a lot but not anymore. Too jealous and want u on their level, low class.

Interestingly,Club Nouveau recorded several songs that dealt with backstabbing and ruined friendships.Remember "Jealousy" (1986),"Envious" (1988) and The Timex Social Club's "Rumours" (1986),which Jay King was involved with? I'm surprised they never recorded a remake of the early 70s hit "Smiling Faces Sometimes"


It's rumored that "Envious" (and possibly "No Friend Of Mine") were directed at Thomas McElroy and Denzil Foster,who left Club Nouveau and became successful producers in their own right.

club nouveau was really cool with that song back in the days.
a lot of friends and jealosy songs were hit way back then like jodie watleys "friends".
