GangstaFam

Death From Above 1979

omg Holy crap!!! omg

I've been hearing about these guys for awhile and was highly intrigued to say the least. Their sound is described as a danceable hardcore punk made by 2 guys, one on drums and vocals, the other on bass.

Well, I just got the album and it's a asskicker! Their sound is so raw and wild and fun and sexy and cool. Haven't heard anything this truly rocking in ages. I don't even really know what to compare it to, but some hints are that the lead singer sounds kinda like an even more crazed version of Perry Farrell, their bass is dynamic and heavy like some of the more fuzzed out Beastie Boys stuff, and their grooves are super tight like an unpolished !!!. But that doesn't really do it justice.

I give this album 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up! thumbs up!

GET IT!!!

Nope. Got it yesterday. I wanted it since I first heard about them, but wasn't sure if it was released yet.

I saw it for like $13 at a record store in Chicago. That couldn't have been an import, right? I think it's just hard to find.
