Brian Auger

I picked up Brian Auger "Oblivion Express Live vol.I" ($3.98 LP)
there's a cut call don't lookaway. which sounds cool
anyone know anything about this cats other material that's
worth lending an ear.

Brian Auger & Trinity (featuring Julie Driscoll) used to get a lot of play during the days of FM-Rock radio. Indian Rope Man is one I remember.

I backed into some of their material after latching onto to The Main Ingredient's version of Brian Auger's tune Happiness is Just Around the Bend.

The Oblivion Express record the tune came from...



...Closer To It is being re-released June 13th.


Auger's various incarnations (The Trinity, Oblivion Express) were a revolving door for some English rock & jazz musicians of the day...

Micky Waller (Jeff Beck)
Rick Laird (Mahavishnu Orchestra)

Closer to the present, he's got a few CDs out with current fusion players...

name.
And pretty said "what the hell"for the price and
condition.
So i will be checking out some of the other stuff.
