falloff Don't get me wrong, I understand the youngins point but us Old Schoolers would say wax/albums. Oh well, she is still cool with Legs. Be easy on her Eroticist. Hell, we got to give her credit for being able to even give it up for some Ol School Funk.

Thanks, Legs. I'm a old schooler though. I have some DJ friends that call it vinyl, so that's what I've been calling it for a minute. I thought Eroticist was laughing cuz I said I prefer vinyl over CD. lol

hmmm Your CD preference is probably also an issue. For me, I've found that CD's wear out faster that records and records for sentimental reseason have a better sound.

In March 1986,I saw Ready For The World in concert. They were the headliner on a bill that also featured The Jets and Doug E.Fresh featuring Slick Rick.It was a good show, but I think The Jets were the best act. They were a new act,and had only one hit at this point ("Curiosity"),but they performed with alot of energy and enthusiasm.Their performance made me go out and buy their album.

Not to change the subject but they had another song called "Digital Display"...the lyrics were kinda corny, but the guitar solo ripped. Melvin Riley actually had a better singing voice in his 90's solo stuff.

headbang "I've always dreamed of your measurements in neon lights"

Really. Boy, they were a one hit wonder. Ready has more of a lasting impact then the Jets ever could have made. To tell you the truth, the only song cut that I ever could tolerate by that group was Crush On You.

I got Ready For The World's second album 'Long Time Coming' as a present for Christmas 1986.I think it is a stronger, better album than the debut.I love the songs "Baby (Let Me Love You)","Do You Get Enough","Mary Goes Round","It's All A Game",and the super-funky "Some People Don't Care".

The Jets had lots of hits:

Crush On You
You Got It All
Cross My Broken Heart
Rocket 2 U
Make It Real

I think all of these were top 10 in the U.S.
