Why do so many of todays English bands today sound exactly alike ?

one band does well with that style of music so others decide to do the same.
then because people buy it record companies sign them no matter how boring they are

uh...think you'll find this is repeated in every country where a particular band is successful; you get carbon copies.

"The Music" (bands name) sounds like a mixture of other bands, but not like any other British band that I know of. Maybe the Stone Roses, but they don't make music anymore.

They sound like Zep mixed with Janes Addiction and U2.

btw; I am sure that British folk say the same thing about American music.

i went to see an american band from LA 2nite ,.. the blood arm, they were very good its the 2nd time ive seen em in a week they played support to maximo park in king tuts glasgow last week. n this week they headlined barfly ,... and you know what,....

robert (bob) hardy the bassist from franz ferdinand was standing right next to me at the gig luckily my friends girlfriend was there and she took a photo of me n' my new mate bob !! lol seemingly the blood arm are franz f... fave band and they are friends aswell ! he was very chatty and said he was in2 maximo park but hadnt seen em live yet. he said he was a big big fan of the blood arm and there was a link to them on the franz website (which i havent checked yet)

I just meant to say everybody sounds like them nowadays , i like them , though

they have had two singles so far apply some pressure and graffiti , the 2nd single is nr 15 in the uk chart they are nr 1 on mtv2 chart and on totp on fri night in the uk .

i dont know anything about the blood arm either. i saw em when they supported m'park i thought they were good so went to see em again another kinda punky indie type band with a crazy frontman who looks like diego maradona !! before the gig my mate said "seemingly this mob are franz ,.. fave band" then we met bob from franz inside and he confirmed he was a big fan of them and they have a link to the blood arms website on their website !!

anyway two bands to look out for !!
