Go West I was in a hotel elevator the other day and heard We Close Our Eyes. Does anybody remember this duo? I loved hearing Eye to Eye on Grand Theft Auto too. Ah, the 80s. Good times.

They did do a decent remake of Caldwell What You Won't Do For Love. But, my all time favorites by these guys are Call Me and We Close Are Eyes.

Go West was Kool!! I always thought Peter Cox had a great voice. My favorite was actually their second album, Dancing On the Couch--Didn't have Any hits on it, but it featured nice guest work from musicians like bassist Pino Palladino, Kate Bush, and the late Guitarist Alan Murphy. my favorites Go West tunes were: Eye To Eye Little Caesar The King Is Dead (w/ Kate Bush) Masque Of Love From Baltimore To Paris Blue Beat Forget That Girl The King Of Wishful Thinking Goodbye Girl Crossfire True Colours Call Me ... [Edited 5/11/05 11:22am] " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout

H*ll yeah. I "We Close Our Eyes." One of fave '80s tunes. 1985 had a lot of great modern rock/R&B tunes like the former along with Level 42's World Machine LP, most notably the breakout hit "Something About You." Joan Armatrading was rocking as well that year with Secret Secrets, but I won't stray off-topica.

I just heard this song recently too. I need to make a nice 80s playlist. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

"One way street" is my fav. "never let them see you sweat", is funky. Love that song too.

My brother saw them live at the Robin 2 in Bilston last year.
I still think they're shit, but hey, what do I know?

Call Me Don't Look Down What You Won't Do King of Wishful Thinking [Edited 5/11/05 10:58am] Load of big cheesy hairy bollocks. Next time take the stairs. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently
