Notes: Not a bad week. The three videos posted gains, while the albums held up well, overall. The Immaculate Collection has scanned 56,000+ this year, compared to 73,000+ over the same period last year.

Notes: The Very Best of Cher keeps chugging along, while the most recent Millennium album posts a big gain- those albums are priced well as it is, I can't imagine it being marked down even more!

JANET JACKSON - 3,309 units

2. Damita Jo: 470 (-14%)

Notes: Design Of A Decade remains JJ's best-selling title, but its sales (as well as those for the video of the same name) continue to be disappointing. Not sure what caused the spark for Rhythm Nation 1814 - maybe a mark-down?

Hey lilgish - I have a feeling Thriller has shipped 28 million and the accountants at Sony are just being pricks in giving it that extra certification.

One thing that's good is that Thriller continues to sell at a healthy level each week/month/year in the U.S. (outpacing the Eagles GH by a huge margin) so I believe it will get another certification in the not so distant future.

The only act close to matching the Beatles' feat is Led Zeppelin, which has five diamond-level titles, while Garth Brooks has four. The Eagles have three diamond titles, including "Their Greatest Hit 1971-1975," which remains the best-selling album of all time, certified at 28 million copies. Michael Jackson's "Thriller" is in second place, having last month been certified for 27 million copies shipped.
