They look so cute together. It's like Jesus and one of his disciples. Only with Les Pauls. Now, If Jesus rocked out with a Les Paul and a Marshall stack every now and again, maybe I'd start going to church again..... PS did you watch the "Family Jewels" AC/DC DVD yet..? Some great footage on there (and some bloody awful stuff too heh heh) Bon Scott in a schoolgirl outfit

A friend of mine has it and keeps talking about it, but I may go over there tonight to watch it. ESPECIALLY for the school girl part! minneapolisgenius said: Yeah, Zeppelin were using ABBA's recording studios back around '78 and he said that they took the guys, Benny and Bjorn, to a sex club in Stockholm, while Agnetha and Frida drove around the city looking for which "den of iniquity Led Zep had taken their husbands to..."
If Agnetha and Frida weren't involved then who cares about the story?

For some reason, though, every time I think of Zep recently, all I get in my head is an image of Pagey scraping that violin bow over his beautiful Les Paul for like 4 hours or something. Oi, Page, NO!!!!! I agree that there are some great moments on the DVD though...I forget the song title, is it Since I've Been Loving You or something...It starts with a lazy, yearning blusey bit from Mr Page. Very nice! I'm just jealous cos he plays better than me, the little, old, Crowley-worshipping troll. Yeah, I can also do without a million bootleg versions of Dazed and Confused w/ the bow. I can understand you not liking it. It's not my favorite either, but I love the B&W footage of him in '68 doing it for the first time. And I've met people who were at the huge Knebworth show and they said that it was the coolest thing ever, when he stood in the laser pyramid and had the beams shooting out of the tip of the bow. Over the top for sure, but apparently it was a pretty amazing sight. Yeah, it's Since I've Been Loving You. One of my favorite moments from '73. Also check out the Earls Court show that's on there when they do In My Time of Dying. That moment alone is what made me jump from fan to ridiculously obssessed fan of the band. I have a pic of Page with Slash somewhere too. shit--i have that earls show and never watched it--ill have to just for IMTOD. I knew someone who went to a 1973 show and walked out! He said it was boring--hard to believe.

He said it was boring--hard to believe. I can kind of understand it. At best, Zep were a tight, rocking band, at worst they were bloated, self-indulgent and meandering. I think if a song goes on for more than say 8 mins max, you are seriously testing the patience of your audience.
