Yeah I hear that. Kate cant dance for shit. In Heathcliff video she dances like a bad contestant for pop idol. She wanted him to choreograph a video for her.

I remember in the 70's the media used to plug the hell out of ABBA like they were some innocent wankers. Don't get me wrong, they wrote a few decent songs that I could tolerate. But,I bet they were some freaky fuckers like everyone else. [Edited 5/10/05 2:15am]

Yeah, Zeppelin were using ABBA's recording studios back around '78 and he said that they took the guys, Benny and Bjorn, to a sex club in Stockholm, while Agnetha and Frida drove around the city looking for which "den of iniquity Led Zep had taken their husbands to..."

I bet Abba got all fruity and giggly and fun and involved lots of people but with nothing too rude, whilst the Zep guys just wanked themselves off for hours on end in a corner whilst people looked on getting increasingly more bored..... So, pretty much the same as their musical styles then.

So, pretty much the same as their musical styles then. Whatever. This coming from a Slash/G&R fan whose main influence was Page and Zeppelin. And every Zep fan that saw them live that I've talked to will NEVER say they got bored with their shows. They say it was the best rock concert they ever went to. Ah, I was born too late. Hav you seen them live back in the day? If not, have you watched the live double DVD that was released two years ago? That has the best documentation of their live shows. Because if you haven't seen it, there's no way you could say that Zeppelin's performances were in any way boring. [Edited 5/10/05 3:28am] I shoulda known better than to mess with the Org's resident Zep Freak Yeah, of course Zep were/are a HUGE influence on the Rock scene (and I am proud to hail from not too far from where they originated). For some reason, though, every time I think of Zep recently, all I get in my head is an image of Pagey scraping that violin bow over his beautiful Les Paul for like 4 hours or something. Oi, Page, NO!!!!! I agree that there are some great moments on the DVD though...I forget the song title, is it Since I've Been Loving You or something...It starts with a lazy, yearning blusey bit from Mr Page. Very nice! I'm just jealous cos he plays better than me, the little, old, Crowley-worshipping troll.

I can understand you not liking it. It's not my favorite either, but I love the B&W footage of him in '68 doing it for the first time. And I've met people who were at the huge Knebworth show and they said that it was the coolest thing ever, when he stood in the laser pyramid and had the beams shooting out of the tip of the bow. Over the top for sure, but apparently it was a pretty amazing sight. Yeah, it's Since I've Been Loving You. One of my favorite moments from '73. Also check out the Earls Court show that's on there when they do In My Time of Dying. That moment alone is what made me jump from fan to ridiculously obssessed fan of the band. I have a pic of Page with Slash somewhere too. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

THERE'S MORE TO ZEP THAN BLOODY 'STAIRWAY..'!!!!" - minneapolisgenius.) I play Rock N Roll with my band, but we tease audiences with the intro to Stairway.. It works great, just as we lull them into a gentle mood and the singing should start...the drum intro to Rock N Roll crashes in and then the guitar and then WALLOP we have them by the throat I think Angus Young has a very similar style to Jimmy Page, too. Really like his playing, nice balance of balls-to-the-wall ROCK and tasteful, gentler bluesy stuff. I also think, and again I expect the death penalty for this, that on the Back In Black album (and not ever since for some reason) Brian Johnson's voice sounds very robert Plant in specific places.

I LOVE Stairway! ( Don't tell anyone though) Cool though, with the Stairway intro. I always think of Wayne's World now though when I hear it. "No Stairway?! Denied!" Angus rocks. I have some cool live footage of recent ACDC performances, and he still has it. I actually like Brian Johnson's contribution to the band and that album is my favorite I think. I will also be stoned to death by the Bon Scott fans now I think. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

Sure, Bon was great, but they are still a monster band and BJ has proven himself to be a worthy frontman and vocalist for them.

I think it may be one of the few cases where a second/different lead vocalist actually works. Cause it sure as hell didn't with Van Halen. I had to put on Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap just now though to give Bon a listen. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven
