B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

I love this song! Its my favorite guilty pleasure of the year so far! Yes, Im talking about Gwen's Holla Back Girl! woot!

Its Prince's Housequake meets all the Neptunes bling that u can stand! Gwen's tongue and cheek video commands that I get up and shake a tailfeather everytime that I see it! I dont see how anyone can listen to this track and not be compelled to cut a rug unless they have a hole in their soul! Its infectious!

It's no "Housequake", but it is fun.

OK, these were my sentiments when the song first hit back in November. I used to play it as soon as I cut on the album. I've since played it out, but I still return to it from time-to-time.

I'm happy she scored her first #1, though.

P.S.: That emoticon is dastardly funny*! lol

the exact thing happened to me. I've pretty much played this song out. I really hope she records another solo album. I like her more on her own that with no doubt.

Her No Doubt stuff is great, but I like her when she's dance pop-oriented. I loved "Rock Steady." A lot of the No Doubt albums were troubled, regret-filled and revolved around deteriorated relationships. "Ex-Girlfriend" is horrid to listen to nowadays.

"It's My Life" wasn't too far off of being a solo Gwen track..

Yeah, I just think she really could be a huge star if she went solo. Like Madonna, I see her being a real pop icon. Her solo stuff is just more interesting and experimental! She really should consider ditching her band.

Never. Seems like she has had cold feet during every step of this solo project.

I read somewhere that there were times when she cried uncontrollably during the making of L.A.M.B. She felt so bad about stepping out on her own and the doubts: what if doesn't go right? What if it flops? What do my band members think of me doing this?

I thought this would be a negative thread. That lyric is one of the cheesiest I've ever heard. "The sh** is bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S" Give me a break! Figures that a crappy song would be a hit. I would like this song if it was not ruined by this one lyric.

And about No Doubt

I was watching a no doubt concert that was on today, and gwen was so much more energetic and into her performances than she is now. She is totally uninspired now, in her music and in her performances.

her band gave her so much more life and helped gwen reach the top and to do her best on stage.

No way does this album come close to any of her no doubt work. just no way...

Good lord I'd take a pill of sum Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls over "Everybody lets just git crunk in a clooob" tunes rolleyes

I played out Hollaback Girl too. I kinda just go right to Cool now that all three songs in a row have became singles. When it dies down I'll play them back.
