After watching Behind The Music's special on them, I'm beginning to love their music all the way. I like that song, I'm Still In Love With You. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on which NE album I should really start off with?

the 2nd album - the one with Lost in love, Cool it now, and Mr Telephone Man.

Try New Editon's Heartbreak album. Its one of their best selling albums!

Their Greatest Hits CD would also do the trick. But it is missing a song called NE Heartbreak which is one of my favorites.

If you want the Jackson 5-type Bubblegum Soul/Rap/Pop, get Candy Girl. If you want to hear them grow from boys to men, get Heartbreak.

"still in love with you" is an awesome lil' song. Easily one of jam and lewis' best tracks. That is off "home again".

I would put "one love" a lil' higher though. But definately below "heartbreak" "home again" and their debut.

I know knowone will listen, but new kids on the block's first album, again by maurice starr is very much like New editions early stuff. "popsicle" is a better version of "Popcorn love". And their cover of "didn't I blow ur mind (this time)" is good too. As is "stop it girl". A song as worthy as "cool it now".

That's because Maurice Starr was involved with New Edition's first album. New Kids On The Block were kind of like the white version of New Edition.

Maurice was a bad boy. He also worked with The Jonzun Crew and he also had a solo jam himself called "Spacey Lady".

He was losing his skills by then. Some tracks are cool though. Like "we forgot to say goodbye" is cute. NKOTB's "baby I believe in u" is a nice serious slow jam. Maurice also tried out perfect gentleman in the early 90's. They had a very moderate hit i think but i forget the name? i got 2 of their albums. Maurice's son was a member of the group. But the records lacked creativity. Fuck knows where he went after 1992?

You can also buy the compilation "Number Ones." This is all the members of New Edition with 18 number one hits from their careers.

The Greatest Hit packages are strangely missing classics: Candy Girl, Popcorn Love and Is This The End...which was on Volume One.
