Le Nubians I find the sisters known as Le Nubians to be very unique and creative group, that mixes all kinds of music like jazz and reggae flawlessly. Any other fans out there? Everytime I try to get my friends to listen, I hear the same silly complaint...."Oh, they sound alright, but I don't understand what they are saying!" I say even if one doesn't speak French, The wonderful music and talented singing should still carry thru the soul and evoke moods and images just the same.... Anyone agree?

Well, I am fluent in French but I am not feeling them. To me, they don't have enough soul like Anglique Kidgoe who is also a French speaking African artists. And what really turned me off is when they remade Sade's jam Sweetest Tabu.

Les Nubians are criminally underappreciated in the States. I have Princesses and One Step Forward and love them both. Their songs are so soothing and transcendental. "J'veux d'la musique" was one of the best songs of this decade. I listened to their 2003 album every night before I went to sleep my last year of college. Great group.

I think the CD is cool. Another one of my favorite "unwind" CDs.

Their latest cd, "One Step Forward" came out in 2003... Not quite as nice as the first one, but still good.

yes they are a great group to unwind down to from a hard's day work, or to relax and pretend you are on vacation on an island from your den with candles burning.... I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

VERY underrated in the States. Princesses Nubiennes is one of my favorite albums EVER. One Step Forward disappointed me in comparison, however.

I 'd One Step Forward. I'm surprised people weren't feeling it. That album held up from beginning 'til end. I'm sorry, but you cannot deny cuts like "J'vuex d'la musique (tout le temps...)," "Brothers & Sisters (w/Morgan Heritage)," "Me & Me," "Saravah," "Que Le Mot Soit Perle" and "Immortel Cheikh..."
NO. I will not accept the critcisms. THAT ALBUM WAS GOOD. Y'all slept on it.

BTW: to the author of the initial posting. Can you please add an "s" to "Les Nubians." That's really jarring to read. Thanks.
