I checked all the weekend ads that came in the Sunday newspaper.The stores are still saying the CD comes out this Tuesday May 3.In fact,Media Play will have it on-sale for only $8.99.Best Buy is even offering some kind of bonus with it (a free DVD or something...I can't recall).But yet some of y'all are still insisting that it has been delayed.What's going on here??? Should I go to the record store on Tuesday or not?? This is ridiculous.

All these people with connections say no. It seems as if Amazon was the only company with enough balls (or maybe just enough inside info) to correct the due date. The papers might have this info from months ago. That being said, I'll still checking out the stores (although I plan to start at Media Play, which is pretty clueless half the time...) and will be looking for it as if it is there and they are holding it hostage! The best part is, I don't even own any Stevie Cds but I promised myself this would be my first and I would go from there!

Just to put it all to rest, I went to a big ole chain Media Play and right on the door was the warning, with Stevie's album cover posted on there! So that pretty much says it all...don't bothering going anywhere, it as waste of time!

However, Media Play did have many of Stevie's albums nearly half price...regular $12.99 priced at $6.99. They only markers for a number of them but I'm pretty sure that anything priced $12.99 will scan $6.99. So I picked up "Characters" (just for "My Eyes Don't Cry") and "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" (just for the hell of it). So it turns out that "A Time For Love" was not my first Stevie album, but I finally started my collection. I put "Characters" in my CD player...very guilty pleasure synth pop! Haven't listened to "Singed..." at all but since I can't meet my new cooperating teacher as I planned on Thursday, I'm going to sink into it then. And yes, I would have bought "Songs In the Key..." but it wa...$27.99....Dang!

What great treatment for one of the greatest musical geniuses of all time.

Indeed. I almost feel bad by those Stevie CDs because I basically am giving money to Motown, who screwed over fans. I'm sure I'm not the only one who walked in there expecting to buy the new CD to take the constillation prize of some old ones. OKAY Y'ALL THE RELEASE DATE IS MAY 10.

I went to Best Buy and talked to the woman who stocks shit. At first she just told me she didn't get any Stevie CDs in, but I needed to know more. I got her to go to the computer and indeed they did not have any in stock (hidden or whatever) and I was like, look up the release date.

I saw on Best Buy's computer with my own 's. And it wasn't something like 10-05-05 or anything confusing.

Release Date May 10!!!

When I breezed into Best Buy, they had "NEW RELEASES" signage in front of the DVD and CD area and Stevie was the first entry under May 3! So for a good 45 seconds I was thinkin I would walk away with a copy!
