allmusic guide cites both Sarah McLachlan and Kate Busk as influences.
I don't remember her music, sorry.

I don't remember her music, sorry. well then, care to comment on the hair underneath her arms then? Is she still not shaving? I never really got into her music, but judging from a few of her older songs, she's decent. I just kinda forgot about her. I put her with the "lilith fair" bunch, so I'll give her new stuff a listen. If I like it, I may even backtrack and get more of her stuff. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

I love Paula Cole. I heard she is trying to release a new album.
Warner Bros. dropped her after the 1999 album "Amen". I thought it was a good album.

I wouldn't call myself a huge Paula Cole fan, but her track w/ Peter Gabriel, Hush Hush, is simply fantastic.
I don't get the Kate Bush comparisons, though. Honestly, if there is a female singer songwriter who is a little artsy and alternative in the past 20 years, she has to be a Kate Bush wannabe? I don't think so. I love Kate, but it's a little too easy to label someone as a Kate Bush wannabe.

Paula and Tori are two seperate vocal distinctions all together. Well, in all truthfulness and honesty, I must admit that Paula has a nice voice. Their is no way that I would compare Tori or her to Kate Bush b/c Kate's voice is much more refined then both of them. The only thing Kate has common with Paula is that they both worked w/Peter and have great respect from him as an artist. However, I will say that Tori tries to imitate Kate but has quite gotten to her level of perfection.
