The Re-making of Vanilla Ice!

Did anyone see this? What a waste of time. He didn't want anyone to help him at all. He wasn't the least bit open minded and ended up not working with the stylists, or the choreographers. The only thing he really agreed to, was to work with a producer but he even used old lyrics from another song. What a fool. He's too busy living in the past to be re-made. He kind of came off like a wanker but he looks good though! biggrin

I caught pieces of it last night and all it did to me was show how much of a fool he is. He's so concerned about leaving the past behind that when he has a chance to move on, he doesn't do it because he's so stuck where he's been and last night was proof right there. He's a hot mess who will continue to stay where he is and it'll be no one's fault but his.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Now that would be interesting.

After watching Vanilla Ice try to spit, I wanted to throw my TV outside. His lyrics and delivery sucked to the nth power.

Well, Cyndi is kind of doing her thing. As for Debbie, she did the Broadway thing and Playbody. So, I guess the remaking might be an option for her.

Yeah, I saw it. Truthfully I cant really say that I blame Vanilla Ice for being the way he was. He dont wanna go back to being that clown-ass arist he was before - he wanted to be to a different, but they wanted to change him back into his old cornball self again. I agreed with Ice not wanting them to re-do his look (his hair), I agreed with him not wanting to do that choreograph shit anymore, and I definately him gettin upset with his old picture being on them flyers. And I wasn't to sure about the part where he went off on the drummer, but hey, if Ice felt disrespected by the guy looking at him a certain way, I cant say I would blame him for that either. I had looked off the TV for a minute so I didn't really understand the class room part. But I didn't agree with the new song he was putting down in the studio with the Track Starz. I thought it was wiggady-wiggady wack.

But yeah, overall it was a waste of a show. They should've remade LaToya Jackson or somebody.

Other than Vince Neil, this will be the only other one I plan to watch. I'll just be happy to see her in recent times after missing her in concert the last few years.

Oh man, that should be great. I love Jody! I hope she doesn't do any plastic surgery though. She was style icon back in the day so she may not need too much revamping in the sytle department.

Are you serious? I can totally understand why he is the way he is but he's only making it worse by not moving on from his past. I really think he needs a lot of help. Therapy would be great for him if he were willing to give it a try. By the we way, that part of the show was funny. He stood up and said he didn't feel comfortable with a mans crotch in his face because it looked like he as giving a blow job. biggrin

I'll be devastated if she resorts to any serious surgery but you like you saide as a style icon I wonder what they have planned for her. I wouldn't think she needs it but I haven't seen her lately. Maybe this means she has a project coming out.

Yeah, Vanilla Ice was complete joke back in the day. Even he knows that. The worst thing for him to do is go back to his old self. Nowadays, he just an asshole, but for good reason. He doesn't wanna be a puppet for record companies anymore or sell out - cant blame him. Do y'all really expect him to go back to dancing and doing all that other shit like before? Of course not. And why should he do that when the Fred Durst imitation is marketable? It seems to work for him. lol

If anything, maybe he does need therapy to help. We saw the way he was reacting to seein his old picture on the walls on Surreal Life, marking them out, completely dispising his old self. Its already bad enough that can't nobody even mention him without talkin about gettin hung off a balcony by Suge's guys. lol

Jody Watley is supposed to be the next episode.

Vanilla Ice was such a dick! I think his show was pointless, he did not let anyone help him.

What a waste of an hour!!

I thought it was entertaining just to see Ice stick it to those smug-ass stylists and choreographers. The therapy scenes were hilarious - I can't believe people actually go through sessions like that eek

When he recycled those lyrics, though, it just made him look like a big phony, not the new, improved Ice with the "I'm gonna be me" attitude he had been displaying earlier. He probably sees this as a big victory - more power to him.

All in all, that program is a sad reminder of how the music business isn't about music at all anymore. At least creativity played a part back in the day. Now it's about Taylor Dayne getting botox shots in her forehead - yuck!!!- instead of her displaying those powerful pipes on a decent record.

I'm goin' to bed...

I saw this.... I felt like he basically signed on to do this, in order to help him get a jump again, and he shot himself in the ass big time. He NEEDS a new look and needs to get rid of that porcupine growing from his chin.. it looks stupid and he is obvisouly still carrying around sooooo much anger and resentment about his Vanilla Ice days.. YET he still used the words or the tunes of Ice Ice baby in his songs! He needs to realize, Vanilla Ice made him a start.. gave him his millions and put him on the map, even if it was for a few years... get over it.. We should all be so damn lucky!
