Trio's "Da Da Da"

I love a mindless fun song and I know that u all do too. One of my favorites is Trio's "Da Da Da". This was the first song that I ever called a radio station and requested (back in 1997) and they played it!

This is the song that was featured in those VW commercials in the late 90s.
Here is some background on the popularity of the song. http://www.commercialclos...?record=43

What are some of your favorite novelty songs? music

Shit, I'm old school and remember when it was orginaly released in 82 in the US And Europe. I kind of hated when the re-released it.

i had the trio album for a while, but i eventually got rid of it because the only song from it i liked was 'da da da'. it was kinda like owning stacey q's greatest hits or something.

i like elastica's cover of this song. nod

i don't remember when it was originally released either - i got the trio CD after i heard it on the elastica album. i think i remember the VW ad, but it seems like all the music i like ends up in a VW ad sooner or later, so it all blends together. nuts

I know it's not a car thread. But sometimes I can't help myself.

This is hard 'cause I hate labeling someones music "mindless":
Telepopmusic - Breathe
Crash Test Dummies - MMM
Chumba Wamba -Tub Thumping
(actually I don't mind so much with those last two)
