If I could just pick one, I'd go with Family Affair.

I'll second that - I wish that song's druggy groove would go on forever.

I'd have to go with Family Affair as well.

"One child grows up to be
Somebody that just loves to learn
And another child grows up to be
Somebody you'd just love to burn"

My vote for Sly's two most underated songs are Crossword Puzzle and You're the One. Both songs have killer grooves and great lyrics. You can't be a Sly fan and not have these two songs.

Psykosoul, nice call on "In Time". That song reminds me a little of Crossword Puzzle in it's complexity.

My only complaint with Sly Stone's songs... they aren't long enough. I wish he had a couple more 8-10 minute epic songs.

co-worship, rhythmically that's one of the most complex and interesting songs by anyone ever. It's so incredibly syncopated it's not even funny.

Family Affair.

The singles "Hot fun in the summertime","Everybody is a star"
& "Thank U Faletinme be mice elf agin" came in between
1969 album "Stand!" & 1971 album "There's a riot going on".
Sly was on the comercial hight of his career after "Stand!"
& the follow up album was on the release scedule 1970
but it never showed up.Those singles were released & the greatest hits album
& in dec 1971 Sly finally released the follow up "Riot"
& that album was something else.
