Hell yeah. I still got their album "live and learn". That was a big hit, as was the ballad "i miss you". Lots of james brown samples in their music. "do u" is classic if generic. They wrote keith sweats "keep it comin'".

One album wonder, as many newjack acts were sad

I have always listened to Ralph Tresvant's debut....such a great album

Sensitivity
Stone Cold Gentleman
Do what I gotta to

Great songs

But also, BBD's Remix album was really good as well...esp. the remix of "Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky, Mike, Ralph and Johnny (Word to the Mutha)" with all the NE references through out

Dont for get the jam,

"Money Can't Buy Me Love"
"Thinking like the Keys on Prince's piano, we'll be just fine"

yeah that was off "mo' money" soundtrack. the video was crap though

Anyone remember ralphs "yo baby yo" song from "house party 2"? Good jam.

I highly reccomend his second solo album "its going down". Dude shocked me by doing a Prince on most the tracks. Writing, producing, playing. Good, very hidden album

It seems him, johnny and bbd suffered from bad sales of second albums (ok I know johnny had a few before new editon)

ralphs "its going down" is odd. I remember hearing nothing of it at all. Too poppy. Though tracks like "graveyard" "it's going down" "shaky ground" (my fav) and "when I need somebody" are great tracks. Funky too. Big shame.

infact iam going hear it now.

U know, BBD's sexond album, WBBD-Bootcity! TheRemix Album (1991) is a million seller and their third cd, Hootie Mack is gold. Im not as sure what kind of numbers Johnny and Ralph did on their 2nd solo joints.

Today "why u wanna get funky on me" is superb. I got the album and video. The song can also be found on the "house party" soundtrack.

COOL, sexofit - THANKS.
I'd been looking for that jam for years, & I had been looking for it under the WRONG damn title..
in fact.. is that "house party" soundtrack still in print??
I KNOW I can find that!
I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..

For the millionth time, the true creators of New Jack Swing are...

They set the path that others followed: Teddy Riley, Jam & Lewis, Devante, Al B. Sure, LA Reid & Babyface, etc.

released in 1985...
I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!
