P Diddy

Last night I was switching channels between Behind the music New Edition and Making the band and I was kind of grossed out by a comment Puffy made to one of the white girls on the show.

They were doing a dance routine and Diddy was cutting people left and right. When they finally finished, one girl in the front who was doing the routine well was asked "do you hang out with black people"? She looked kind of confused and then he said "do you have black people in your family because you dance like you do". How tacky and ignorant is he? Then he told the black and hispanic girls that he they should be ashamed of themselves because they couldn't dance. He said it was disgraceful. So he's stereotyping saying all blacks can dance? Whatever, just thought i'd share this with you.

Did anyone else see this? What were your thoughts?

I didn't see that but I know what u mean. It really makes me mad when some black people put those stereotypes on white people like we can't dance, hav flat butts etc. It's not true. It's sad that people still believe those types of things. Everyone is given a talent, it is not given to a certain race along with body type. U are able to dance because u have talent in that area, not because u are a certain race. The same goes with body type.

I agree. I just thought it was an ignorant comment to make as well as embarrassing. I guess you could say race is a touchy subject for me. I just hate stereotypes.

I think he was paying her a complement but that is a stereotype because not all black people can dance. Going by stereotypes, the girl should have asked him if he was really black because he sure ain't got no soul or rhythm.

I wasn't talking about his dancing, I was talking about his music.
