Ellen.

Rhythm.

o.k. this is scary 'cause rhythm IS NOT subjective. So many people here are looking for the funk. hope the day doesn't come where we're looking for the rhythm too.

I don't watch Ellen but I've seen the commercials and I have seen the intro to her show where she does her little dance. Didn't see the rhythm thing happening. Perhaps on that particular show she was accidently landing them at the right time or something.

Nothing against Ellen. That "Conversation with God" bit she does is really funny and she made "Searching for Little Nemo". But the rhythm...

I love when Ellen dances on her show. I remember one time she was dancing to some song--I forget the name now but it was a serious jam--and she was getting down to the point where I started dancing too.
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I don't see her show all that regularly, but when I do, I always like the songs she plays before her show and before each guest.

Now "getting down" is subjective

The whole appeal is that she has fun. I guess.

and in fairness to her you really can't tell with a commercial 'cause the sound is added later. Maybe she's making the landings. But it's what goes on in between...there's something odd there.

Odd but fun. I guess.

I SEEN alot of white gurls get down.. at clubs, party's, weddings.. usually they aint the most skilled steppers. But ELLEN sure does have a lil' soul up in here. Maybe its the GAY thang. Gay peeps usually can dance there ASS off.

It's not a white thing. It's not a gay thing. I'm pretty sure it's an Ellen thing. I know quite a few gay guys that can't dance for nothin'. I don't know any Ellens that can dance. I do know a Helen. She can't dance either.

o.k. so I watched her intro. I think I got to the root of this Ellen problem. It's not the rhythm...it's the walk. The walk and that waddle thing she does.

Now I bet this Ellen Walk becomes a part of pop-culture. And i'll be the only one that won't know how to do it. People will probably talk. First the Electric Slide (can't keep up with that one either...it confuses me.) and now the Ellen Walk.

Truth is, I just can't dance. I only wiggle a little.
