HAPPY PHANTOM
And if I die today I’ll be the happy phantom
And I’ll go chasin’ the nuns out in the yard
And I’ll run naked through the streets without my mask on
And I will never need umbrellas in the rain
I’ll wake up in strawberry fields everday
And the atrocities of school I can forgive
The happy phantom has no right to bitch

Oo who- the time is getting closer
Oo who- time to be a ghost
Oo who- everyday we’re getting closer
The sun is getting dim
Will we pay for who we been

So if I die today I’ll be the happy phantom
And I’ll go wearin’ my naughties like a jew
They’ll be my ticket to the universal opera
There’s judy garland taking buddha by the hand
And then these seven little men get up to dance
They say confucius does his crossword with a pen
I’m still the angle to the girl who hates to sin

Oo whoo- the time is gettin closer
Oo who- the time to be a ghost
Oo who- everyday we’re getting closer
The sun is getting dim
Will I pay for who I been

Or will I see you dear and wish I could come back
You found a girl that you could truly love again
Will you still call for me when she falls asleep
Or do we soon forget the things we cannot see

Oo who- the time is getting closer
Oo who- the time to be a ghost
Oo who- everyday we’re getting closer
The sun is getting dim
Will I pay for who I been

And if I die today
And if I die today
And if I die today
Chasin’ nuns out in the yard

She's the best! Enjoy the ride.

I love most of the songs she's done. Really. Even her b-sides are album calibre. So my personal taste is pretty broad when it comes to her. It'd be better to recommend a particular album depending on what side of her you're digging. What do you have by her so far?

C'mon, does anyone really think "Happy Worker" is one of Tori's best songs?

Tori probably ranks alongside Prince and MJ in being one of my favourite artists of all time.

Her music takes time, but it is so worth it.

She is also a fascinating person in interviews.

Going to see her at two shows in London next month... can't wait!

Well, there are people on this site who argue that New Power Soul is a great album, so anything's possible!

I suppose, though it would be odd to list as a favorite Tori song one on which she doesn't play the piano. confused

Well, I certainly wouldn't list it. Its gotta be on the bottom rung of Tori songs for me.
