They are classic MJ 80:s material, I love them, especially Hot Street.

He's doing better career-wise than either her or Michael have been doing for the last 12 years or so.

Sure it does. I know you haven't been thrilled with Prince's artistic output in several years, but career-wise, he's doing just fine. In the public eye, he's not the laughing stock that he was, especially during the mid 90's. And within his fanbase, he's getting a lot more love than he did in the late 90's. I think he's finally figured out how to handle his big battles: maintaining artistic freedom and ownership, not coming off as insane and keeping people interested in him. Michael seems to be having trouble in all three areas, career-wise.

No, man. It's the whole sentence that I can't make sense of:
"He's doing better career-wise than either her or Michael have been doing for the last 12 years or so."

Who are you referring to, is what I was asking.

i have to agree with that

that and Cry Me a River

both written for MJ

not to mention U don't have to call from ushers 8701 album

Thank u! I agree with u 1000%!! If the Neptunes have more brilliant songs like that for MJ that are ready to go, MJ NEEDS TO GET IN THE STUDIO AND RECORD THEM NOW!! Pharrell and Chad are dying to get MJ in the studio with them!

If the stuff I've been hearing out of their camp lately is any indication, those dudes are about tapped out. By the time MJ gets around to recording, they won't be nearly as "hot" as they have been the last few years.

AFAIK its more than likely that we will see an unplugged album. I don't know the time, but it must have been 2002 or 2003 when his management did a survey which was taken seriously. An Unplugged Special/Album was the most popular choice. Around 'Number Ones' there were rumors spread by some 'insiders' about a VH-1 Special. They listed some songs which could be part of it:

- Butterflies
- The Way You Make Me Feel
- Rock With You
- Will You Be There
- Stranger In Moscow
- Man In The Mirror
- Billie Jean
- She Is Out Of My Life
- Who Is It
- Liberian Girl
- Earth Song
- Human Nature
- Give In To Me
- Break Of Dawn
- Keep The Faith

Anybody remember this?!! I saved that tracklist, because it seems to be perfect! eek

That is a perfect tracklisting. I might replace Liberian Girl with Whatever Happens tho. I hope they really give it some thought this time and make it happen.

I think if MJ does release an album it will be like History. Agressive. I think he´ll want to get that anger out.
"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

That tracklisting rules!!!!! If they did a tv special with soon-after cd release it would re-establish him in America more than an angry album would for sure!

I'm afraid to cross my fingers for this one!!

Oh shit another trash album...
lol

If MJ wants to be respected again, he should see what Prince did last year, more authenticity and less megalomania...

Even if Musicology sucks, Prince made a great comeback in 2004, not as great as Santana, but it was wonderful to see Prince in the top of the game.....

I TOTALLY AGREE 100000%, Michael has had way too much megalomaina/Christ complex presentations since 1991. Showing some sense of humanity would do him lots of good....and would be eons overdue.

Go away from the spotlight for a while, get his life together, be a better father to his kids and be his own man. Once that comes together, then he can make an album. But let's get through the trial first.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

well, he will release an album of Outtakes...sell his house, move to Europe or Japan, or any fucking where that does not have USA attached to it.

Release an album with his brothers titled - "The Jacksons Reunited"

What a question?

If this comes through for Michael I hope he finds some time away from the media and the industry. I think one of the major points to come out of this trial is that his PR people are insane.

I also think he should rethink his recruitment process.

And get a new stylist....

Absolutely. Michael will struggle horribly to get his career back on track. Even if he is found not guilty of these charges, mud sticks unfortunately and many find his lifestyle and life choices distasteful. Even his last singles showed signs of seriously slowing down. He will always make money out of his back-catalogue.
