Yeah it is pretty sad. I notice the mouth thing a while ago and then it seemed like it got better but then it looked crazy again so I wasn't surprised on BTM. He and Whitney were or could have been such a power couple and it's really tragic to see their descent.

I thought he had his mouth like that because he DIDN'T have any drugs in his system. I know some crack-heads who fix their mouth like that when they haven't had a hit in a couple of days.

When did he have a stroke, this is the first I am hearing of this..

I saw it last night and it was vey good but like a lot of you, it should have been longer. It seemed like they rushed through the story but this is a group that influenced a lot of these groups right now and for that, they should have gotten bigger props. But that seems to be the story of the careers. They still kick ass and I'm happy thay they left Puffy's triflin ass.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Oh and Bobby's comment to NKOTB was HILARIOUS.

"You will never be us. You feel me?" lol

Well, it's true. As a hardcore New Edition fan, I know the deal.

I really didn't mind the length of time this episode ran on. I was just happy to see it. I mean, even if the episode was compressed into 1 hour, they pretty much covered their entire career and explained all the important points of the group up until now.

22 years...Holy Shit! That was so messed up they received a check for $1.87 each for all that work. Production deals are the worse. I loved that Behind the Music. I liked their honesty, especially about hack music producer megalomaniac Puffy. So is Bobby back with them officially....did he have a stroke or something? I didn't think he could look worse.

MC Brains was my homie. I don't know what happen to him after he dropped the "Oochie Coochie La La Song." lol

yes, i remember that..... nod

I knew girls who thought mc brains was hot. Yeah I still got his "lovers lane" album. Havn't heard it in years.

ABC#s first album was slamming. Thanx to dallas austins superb funky newjack production on cuts like "little soldier" "coolin' at the playground" and my fav "iesha". Theire cover of "jelous girl" beat the original too. I still play that album sometimes. Great to do the running man too.

NE just seems like they weren't satisfied in the beginning, especially after foolishly signing that shitty contract, and they aren't satisfied now after going with bad boy to get away from MCA records. I think they act like childish men who just can't seem to resolve things as a group....i found it very rediculous for ralph tresvant to not want johnny gill in the group because of "his money". What money was he talking about splitting up if they weren't getting that much in the first place??? If anything he probably was intimidated by Johnny's voice, because he could blow out Ralph tresvant out the window any day...
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

New Edition On Short-Lived Stint On Bad Boy Records LAUNCH Radio Networks
Mon May 2, 7:00 AM ET

R&B group New Edition is currently rehearsing for a national tour which kicks off next month and working with Paramount Pictures on the New Edition biopic. The group plans to head back into the studio sometime in the future to record new music, but following last year's fiasco with Bad Boy Records, they plan on taking their time.

Ricky Bell says signing with Bad Boy Records did not live up to the group’s expectations. "We thought it was gonna be like no limits," Bell said. "Let's go all out. Let's just get with the best writers, the best producers, let's just exploit New Edition, like, all the way, and that wasn't the plan. I mean, once we got in with him (P. Diddy), when we didn't agree with him on certain songs, we would get sent home for like six, seven months. You know, it would just be nothing being done."

Bell added that the straw that broke the camel's back was an incident over a song titled "Keep In Touch" which was produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Bell said that Combs refused to pay for the song because the group was allegedly over budget, although they had only worked with in-house Bad Boy producers.

According to Bell, Combs didn't respect Jam & Lewis, although the two produced many of New Edition's biggest hits. Eventually Jam & Lewis gave the group the song free of charge, but somehow it still wasn't included on the final version of One Love. Bell explained: "You know that song wasn't on there. It was taken off the album, then there was another song put on the album that wasn't even talked about initially of being on the album. A song that none of us liked. On top of that, Puffy paid himself $50,000, on top of that put a song on it that we didn't like, and we just felt like that was just a slap in the face. No respect."

Following the fallout with Bad Boy Records, reports surfaced that the group was difficult to work with. Group member Johnny Gill addressed the rumors. He said: "Well, I want anyone, whoever has any doubts about us, working with us, look at our 22-year record. I mean, it's not ironic when you look at Bad Boy, not only just us, look at the artists that have come, the artists that are leaving, and everyone that's trying to get out of the situation."

Calls to Bad Boy Records weren't returned at press time.
