GREAT albums paligap. You've reached my favorite era now and you get major points for remembering Ebonee Webb.

Interesting "How To" found while trying to remember material from this time period...

How to Be an 80s Funk Star?

Long hair needs a quality Jeri curl for that sexy, spiraled look. Short hair needs to be straightened and styled with a debonair flair.

Satin clothing is preferred in colors such as purple, red, black and white.

High heeled boots will make your dancing and spinning on-stage easier.

Long "pirate" coats and skinny pants will look nice against frilly high neck shirts.

If you are a man, get yourself some hot chicks who can play drums or keyboards on-stage while wearing lingerie.

If you are a woman, wear lots of trashy lingerie including mesh, lace, chiffon, fishnet stockings and garters.

Be sure to spend plenty of time choreographing your performances. If your band can not dance, get a new band.

Lace scarves worn around your head and over one eye will give you a mysterious look. Alternatively, this look can be achieved with black, tie-on Zorro masks.

Fingerless lace gloves are always a perfect accessory for men and women.

If you play guitar, have oddly shaped custom ones built!

Accessories are critical. Think lavish and opulent. Brooches, pendants and gold chains are de rigeur.

A cocky, sexy swagger will always help you win over the ladies.

Black eyeliner and lip gloss will give your eyes definition and your lips an "oh-so-kissable" appeal.

Be sure that you have at least one song with panting and moaning in the background.

Remember, even if half of your music is about sex, it is God himself you have to thank for your musical gifts.

hmmm Wonder who they based this on?

Wow, that's the damndest thing, Pali. I've been listening to a lot of late 70's-early 80's Soul/Funk too. I call it "Post-Disco". smile

I've especially been into the British stuff like Freeez, Level 42 (I know we're both fans of this awesome band), Central Line, Heatwave, Imagination, Beggar & Co., etc.

Great stuff. nod
