WhamBamGlamSlam said: "too funky" was a good song though. What album is that from? The Red Hot + Dance compilation. There are beautiful songs on Older that never get any credit. The existence of George Michael gives me hope that there will be another successful gay artist out of the closet that I can drool over. Consider the alternatives - Boy George, Elton John, RuPaul...i LOVE "Safe" from Older and Upper You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

my favorite GM song has always been & will always be Father Figure, VERY CLOSELY followed by Everything She Wants & Freedom '90. Those songs are definitely classics by George hands down.

As we have said before. "heaven help me" by deion estus might as well be george michael. Sorta like Tony Rich's "nobody knows" IS infact babyface singing. [Edited 4/26/05 3:15am]

George is great. I liked most of his funk-flavored output in the 80s. Careless Whisper soidified him as a top notch singer. He's a multi-instrumentalist, which is not spoken of much and his duet with Whitney Houston (If I Told You That) was highly unappreciated by the media. I think if the general public was a lot less hung up on who he's screwing, he'd be a lot more popular even now.

my favorite GM song has always been & will always be Father Figure, VERY CLOSELY followed by Everything She Wants & Freedom '90. I fully expect George to be inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame within the 1st 3 years of eligibility.. really, he should get in on his 1st year. Father Figure is still the jam! But Monkey (Remix) goes off!!! Monkey (Remix) by George Michael Better watch out Baby who's that Don't look now There a monkey on you back Watch out Baby who's that Don't look now There a monkey on you (2X) Why Can't You Do It? Why can't you set your monkey free? Always giving in to it - Do you love the monkey or do you love me? Why can't you do it Why do i have to share my baby with a monkey? Oh i count to ten But i don't know how and i don't know when To open my eyes If you kiss me again Like you did just now, like you did just then - I've had the rest Now it's time i had the best So you tell me that you won't do anymore Well i'd write your heart a letter But i think you know me better If i keep on askin' baby, maybe I'll get what i'm askin' for Why can't you do it? Why can't you set your monkey free? Always giving in to it - Do you love the monkey or do you love me? Why can't you do it Why do i have to share my baby with a monkey? Oh i hate your friends But i don't know how and i don't know when To open your eyes Yes the monkey's back again Do you want him now like you did back then? I tried my best But your head is such a mess So i guess that i don't want you anymore Well you say you care about me That you just can't do without me But you keep on dancin' baby 'Til that monkey has you on the floor Why can't you do it? Why can't you set your monkey free? Always giving in to it - Do you love the monkey or do you love me? Why can't you do it Why do i have to share my baby with a monkey? Better watch out Baby who's that Don't look now There a monkey on you back Watch out Baby who's that Don't look now There a monkey on you (2X) [Edited 4/26/05 22:03pm]

BK, you took me back. Careless Whisper was one of George's tight slow jams ever. It seriously was one of my all time favorite cuts by him.
