Lady In My Life.....classic vocal performance nice ad-libs after the break down..... And you're right, man, Everybody was using those changes for the next few years after that... Jam & Lewis used it for "Funny How Time Flies", Al B. Sure used it for "Night and Day", Ray Parker Jr. used it for his instrumental, "After Hours", Dino used it for "24/7", and Sherrick used it for his song, "Call Me"... "She's Out Of My Life" is more of a pop ballad.Nothing wrong with that, but I prefer "Lady In My Life". Same Here... ... It has to be Lady In My Life. She's Out Of My Life is great too but I feel Lady... more. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

"Lady In My Life"... "She's" is classic too but that fake ass cry @ the end always makes me giggle, kinda ruins it for me - picturing Mike crying like a bitch w/ curl juice fucking up his headphones . [Edited 4/23/05 0:27am] The part that gets me is the very end, when he says "mmm-hmmmm..." But the song is a definite classic. It has a nice theatrical feel. Lady In My Life, however, blows everything else away. I'm ashamed to say that I discovered this gem pretty late.(MJ/Jacksons got played around the clock in my house, but I never remembered hearing it as a kid. Michael never stopped!
