"Taylor claims to be game for the entire process but is resistant to a visit with a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon."

This pic for her last single scared me...
She looked wrecked. Poor thing. Thanks for the post Nick715! The Remaking of Taylor Dayne begins in Orlando, Florida, at Disneyworld, where Taylor is performing three shows a night for a week. It's clear from her lackluster performance that this is not where she wants to be performing. And the audience, which is made up of families, older fans and passersby, are similarly unenthusiastic. Time has brought with it several significant changes for the late 80s dance-pop diva. Now just past 40, Taylor recently became a single mother of twins, does not have a record deal and is struggling to create a new sound that is more current than her 80s hits. She has taken good care of herself for a woman in her early 40s, but clearly needs a style refresher for the 2000s. Taylor expresses the difficulties in trying to get a top ten hit in a time when the airwaves are dominated by a new, select generation of young pop stars. Taylor has the support of her family and her friends, and one in particular is Leah Remini (actress, star of CBS' The King of Queens), who encourages Taylor to undertake the remaking challenge. Taylor Dayne decides to take advantage of the opportunity to remake herself. Her ultimate goals are to record a new single that could get her back on the charts and to use her comeback performance on ABC's hit talk show, The View, to help re-launch her career. Over the next few months, Taylor Dayne will face her fears, struggle to balance family and work and will be tested on every level. Taylor claims to be game for the entire process but is resistant to a visit with a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon. Two of Hollywood's hottest trainers challenge Taylor by putting her through the ringer in a specially designed boot camp. A-list stylists work to update Taylor's performance outfits and push to give her look a modern twist despite Taylor's reluctance. For Taylor, the process would be a failure without a great song. Taylor has to put faith in the mega-hit producer, Rodney Jerkins, who has created hits for powerhouses Destiny's Child and J-Lo, to create a sound that can compete in the current market and utilized Taylor's vocal strengths. And although Taylor says she's a singer first and a dancer second, she has to learn a new routine from A-List choreographer, Brian Friedman, that will give her an edge. A fresh look and sound for Taylor is on the horizon, but can she withstand the pressure of putting it all together and the critiques of experts and friends? No matter how much she resists change, and whether she succeeds or fails, the experiences Taylor encounters along the way will help build the person she will become. See what happens when a dedicated and driven team of professionals joins forces, in an attempt to re-launch, rejuvenate, re-master and remake Taylor Dayne.

I cannot wait for the re-emergence of Taylor Dayne! She was a vocal powerhouse and deserves to be on the charts again.
It's funny, but whenever I hear Anastasia (not the Prince song) I think it's Taylor Dayne. Working with a producer of Destiny's Child and J-lo should help.

Isn't she from Long Island, she had a big following in the tri-state.
Everybody use to make a big deal that Mariah was from Long Island to, so fucking what.

i love Taylor Dayne. I always thought she was a great singer, but i didn't care much for alot of the material she performed.
I loved her version of the Jim Steinman track "Original Sin", though.

She looked wrecked. Poor thing. She's depressed about being on an indie label and the death of dance pop....Ah, sad...

I loved her version of the Jim Steinman track "Original Sin", though. That sounds interesting. Her new Darkchild song was very forgetable so she needs even better material than that.
