I think you may be right as I went on http://www.stevie-wonder.com/ and even that has the original tracklist (but the DVD I received features tracks not even mentioned).

There must be a LOT of configurations flying around at the moment. I wonder if Stevie/Motown have been dithering over which tracks to use??

If you take a look at the website, which looks different, they say it will drop May 3rd and have acknowledged the many delays.

Amazon is usually pretty trust worthy, but they do screw up. Check the weekend ads as well (although don't be shocked if when you actually get to the store if they don't have it....).

In the store computer for ordering - which is connected to the distributor, it is still listed as a May 3rd release.

I will believe this date to be true until it is changed in our system.

She said it's listed as coming out May 3rd, but they don't have any on order or being shipped to them (not sure excatly what she said) and that's very unusual for a big release like this, so it probably has been pushed back. Hey... I checked the computer for release date. It hasn't changed. I asked the music manager if he knew anything about the delay or rumors of one, he said as far as he knows (and he checked his notes) it's still on for Tuesday. So... there's still hope.

Last time there was a delay, the release date changed to 12/25/2031, which is a bogus date for no known date of release...(for those who don't know, I work for Barnes & Noble).

According to an inside source the new date is June 14th...

According to your competition, Borders, it's in the computer as that date, but they don't have any coming in which is unusual for a new major release, so they think it's set back.

Yeah, we get them in on either the Friday or Saturday before the release, sometimes sooner. Sometimes as late as Monday before the Tuesday release. In this case, we have 25 copies coming to the store but I haven't seen 'em anywhere. I'll let you know when the next date is set... this is getting ridiculous!

I saw something odd yesterday. Every week, Tower Records puts up a big ad in their windows showing next wee's releases on CD and DVD. The current ad said Stevie's CD was due out on 5/3, but the photo showed the new NIN album instead ! so Tower must have had info the CD was due out, but then maybe tried to change it at the last minute .

I also wonder if Motown is having a bit of apprehension releasing and marketing the CD, since radio is reluctant to play older artists. Look at what happened when Bruce put out "The Rising" a few years back ; he had to promote it by TV appearances, since radio didn;t want to play it much . Last year, Prince's "come Back" was mainly engineered by TV and touring much more than radio. So maybe Motown is trying to figure out a way to promote it
