I think I'm looking most forward this summer to a new album by..... ..and I don't even believe this because I considered the "singles" off her last CD to be barely passable. But I just heard a remix of her first single and am really impressed. In my search for good dance music, I never thought I would buy a CD from this artist....Check the link below.
I'm as shocked as you are... I'm definately going to buy the maxi single first, which appears to be only $5 new (which is insane for a maxi single and this one has a lot of mixes) and see what I think of that first.

Hey Vinny - iTunes has Kelly Osbourne's maxi single already on sale. You might want to try them first. BTW, considering you have the super talented Mel C in your avatar, I don't think it's that big of a jump that you'd like Kelly Osbourne, no?

I like more dance pop stuff (along with other genres) but am burnt out by most pop rock riot grrl wannabes (you know who you are, Avril!). I know this album is produced by Linda Perry, who for better or worse, helped give Pink a voice but I'll still give it a try. My sister has the Itunes program but for some reason, I tried to claim a free song from Pepsi or at least look at what they offered and it didn't work. I'll just give it to my sister and she can try. And frankly, I'm still nuts for the Cds. I'm old, I guess although I loved when Napster first came out (probably cause it was free and you could get rare stuff and it was trading and fun...).

i think my whole focus this summer is gonna be on buying lots of new music by people i haven't heard before, and music by new artists. i feel like i've gotten into a bit of a rut over the past year or two, buying stuff by bands that i know really well - mainly because most of 'em keep spewing out reissues of stuff that i already own, with irresistable packaging and bonus tracks. i'm really ready for some new stuff this year, especially after living and breathing bowie and prince during while they were touring last year.
so far, Out Hud is kicking my butt and i'm getting into the brian jonestown massacre's anthology compilation after watching 'dig!'.

I've been very dissapointed this and last year. Probably a good idea to get into new artists! I guess I play it way too safe but music by new artists....it's a gamble!

Last year was a bad year--my year-end best-of list consisted of only five CDs.
So far this year, I really like M.I.A., LCD Soundsystem and Andrea Echeverri. The album I'm most looking forward to might be Nikka Costa (even more than NIN). Edit--Deadsy's new CD would the one I'm drooling over the most, but I have no idea if that will be released this year. They always take so long to do everything. [Edited 4/26/05 15:26pm]

I'm on the Kelly Osbourne website and just heard the full single again. It's a good song and the chorus kicks ass. I'm listening to samples. Not bad. Very new wave. Not great but an improvement. I think so far it's already kicking Gwen's throwback attempt in the ass.
