James Brown "Living in America". Yay or nay? I love this song. Despite the patriotic bullshit lyrics, I love the gorrbe and production "i-live-in-America" etc..... Yay or nay? Or just OK?

I never saw the film, unless it was the one with Mr T in. In which case i saw it, laughed at how bad it was, and then cried because i'd wasted 90 minutes of my life.

But at the end, Rocky kisses and makes up with the russian. My man Dan Hartman wrote this song. I forgot about that.

That song brought JB back to radio - thanks Dan Hartman!! right on point I know quite a couple of folks who got into JB with this one and worked their way back from that Living in America did what the baddasss Full Force produced "I'm real" album sadly was not able to do manage years later Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. yay!!! It´s FUNKY!!! I love James!! "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

As much as James sometimes misses the mark, he doesn't on this song (it does sound dated, unlike the real funk, which is timeless)

I think i'm gonna have to say nay on this. The song is not terrible but it's a bit velveeta if you know what I mean. I probably wouldn't change the station if it came on the radio but let's just say it's not one of his best songs.
