You MUST check out "Mr. Anonymous"

There is a new album out there that I am absolutely addicted to. It's called "Mr.Anonymous", and it's produced by the original drummer for The Samples. His name is Jeep. He went to Jamaica and recorded original songs with the top Jamaican singers and performers, including Dave Wakeling of English Beat.

To get an idea of the sound, imagine the prettiest hypnotic acoustic guitar licks, combined with funk, latin, and hip hop grooves, and throw on top some of the finest Rastifarian-style singing/rapping. The result is highly original, beautiful, and addictive. Jeep sings and plays most of the instruments throughout, but it was such a collaborative effort he decided to call the CD "Mr. Anonymous".

I highly recommend you buy this CD!! You can read more about it and hear samples here:

I listened to samples at the website, but I just couldn't get into this album. Even Sly & Robbie's grooves left me indifferent. Something about it all reminds me of Sugar Ray.

Wow dude, I must say I'm surprised you don't care for the album. Sugar Ray? I'm not feelin' that at all! These are highly listenable cuts---a fantastic album. But to each his own. Peace.
