I think Boy George was more shocking in those "Karma Chameleon" outfits!

i've loved grace jones ever since i was a kid and she was a recurring guest on letterman's old 'late night' show on NBC. she'd always come on wearing her metal breastplate or carrying a whip, and she'd always have some bizarre clip of her doing performance art that letterman would make fun of. dave and grace were hilarious together back then - i wish letterman were still as hip and funny, but i guess people get old and lose their edge.
but yeah, i've been a grace jones fan for a long time. i don't so much care for what she's done after 'inside story'. anything before that, she could do no wrong. actually, she could do a LOT of wrong, but that's why we love her.

The funny thing is that she's sooooo sweet. A friend of mine had to escort her around San Francisco to several gigs in the 80's. She was high the entire time. They had a great time.
I saw her perform in San Jose, California. She was 3 hours late but her performance was INCREDIBLE. She was walking art. She was so greatful to everyone and had people go onstage. She performed topless for a minute and answered questions later. MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! I once stuck my finger in Grace's bum when she was crowd-surfing in just a g-string. It was purely by accident, I assure you.
When is she ever gonna come out with a new CD?????

Grace is a superhero.
I remember going to the movies to see A View To A Kill and a group of boys were all loudly jeering when James Bond was in bed with her.

I think Grace mesmerised me when I saw A View To A Kill in a theater, even as a little boy.

I find her incredibly unattractive, but no. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.
