I feel bad that such a promising individual grew up to be such a fucking sad & confused freak.

Sad but true. I was a big fan of Michael's - I grew up on the Jackson 5. Back in the early 80's, Michael was the baddest entertainer on the planet. Prince couldn't touch him. But he turned me off with all that self-hating plastic surgery and freaky behavior. Any black person who would do that to himself is a f-n mental case.

I listened to Off the Wall the other day and it made me sad to think of what's become of him. .

I honestly thought I was the only one who feels that way when listening to an old MJ album. I don't feel sorry for Michael at all. He's chosen the path that he's walking in. Having said that, I do believe that he can get it together if he chooses to. I truly hope that whatever happens with the trial, I hope he gets the revelation that things MUST CHANGE. All I and anyone else can do for him now is pray for him and his family.

I don't feel bad at all when I listen to the old stuff...mind you I only listen to everything up to Thriller when I sure he wasn't doing anything creepy. To me they are two different Michaels. I'll always have a love for MJ, but in the end he is a man with serious problems that he should have sought help for after the the JWs kicked him out. Mind you when he was a JW...they believe any form of psychotherapy is a sin and he was devout. Seeking any kind of help for abuse is a sin....I can't beleive Prince belongs to that religion. Anyway I digress. He brought his current problems on himself, I hope he finds his soul again.

It's funny how most of the black people on here think he bleached his skin while the white people think he has a skin disorder. It's an issue that Michael didn't act black enough for the black people.

I was content to not say anything until this popped up. You don't know how many blacks think he has a skin disorder and he did bleach his skin. Personally, I can't blame him for bleaching it since it was losing color anyway. That doesn't explain the plastic surgeries but who are we to judge him on that?

I do feel bad for Michael in general. We all have issues and for those comparing his childhood to others-- that's ignorant. We all react differently to certain situations. How the fuck does Judy Garland get a pass and MJ get condemned?

He's obviously got issues he needs to deal with and if he's guilty of touching boys he needs to pay. I can't feel any sympathy for him in his current legal troubles if he was stupid enough to hang around children again. Of course, whatever trouble he gets into the childrens' parents should get a worse punishment and they shouldn't see a cent of his money.

Well, it sounds like most of the black people on this board feel that way. I really think it is because of he supposely didn't act black. There is this guy at my college that is a dark skinned African American. He loves rock music, Prince smile, dates white girls, hangs out with white people mainly, and likes the color pink. I remember some people coming up to me and asking me if he was gay or not. I said no, not that I know of. I was talking to him about what these people were saying about him and he said I know, I'm kinda used it. I think a lot of the talking about him had to do with the fact that he didn't fit the black people stereotype. The same goes with Michael. He dated white gurls(did date some black gurls), changed his nose and hair(which really doesn't have to do with wantin to be white) etc. This doesn't mean that he wants to be white. That guy that I mentioned says that he loves being black and just because someone doesn't fit that stereotype, doesn't mean they want to be white.
