James Brown "Living in America". Yay or nay?

I love this song. Despite the patriotic bullshit lyrics, I love the gorrbe and production

"i-live-in-America" etc.....

Yay or nay? Or just OK?

well, Mr Brown always looks funky. smile

But the song really sucks. confused

I never saw the film, unless it was the one with Mr T in. In which case i saw it, laughed at how bad it was, and then cried because i'd wasted 90 minutes of my life. neutral

roicky iv wins the most USA patriotic bullshit film award of the 80's. But at the end, Rocky kisses and makes up with the russian.

My man Dan Hartman wrote this song. I forgot about that.

As much as James sometimes misses the mark, he doesn't on this song (it does sound dated, unlike the real funk, which is timeless)

I think i'm gonna have to say nay on this. The song is not terrible but it's a bit velveeta if you know what I mean. I probably wouldn't change the station if it came on the radio but let's just say it's not one of his best songs.
