Mint Condition - Livin' The Luxury Brown My boys are back and it was well worth the wait!
Listening to the new CD here at work and my ears haven't been this excited in a long time. So glad that REAL music is back. Can't wait to get home so I can check out the DVD! "No sex can be safer, it's a pill wrapped in a little piece of paper."

I can't wait to hear this CD. I heard them on Tom Joyner's Sky Show last month and they kicked ass. Got me all excited for this disc. Welcome back, MC! The Normal Whores Club

Mint Returns Rising like A Phoenix. Yall cant fuck with "It's Hard" or "Half an Hr" No one messes with Stokes ... Now that I've had a few minutes to let this one soak in. I'm not as impressed as I was upon the BET Listening preview. This one is about in the same vein as Life's Aquarium for me. (There were only about 5 tracks that I truly dug) I think it's time for me to accept the fact that they will never outdo 'From the Mint Factory' and 'Definition of A Band'. It's a good album. But I don't see it as the saving grace of R&B/soul.

I must be honest in saying after I checked out the entire CD as well as the downloadable bonus track it's not one of their stronger albums. However it is a pleasant change. The concert DVD is nice though and I definitely plan on checking them out when they come to Dallas in June. I noticed O'Dell is playing the blue cloud w/ the inlays. Can't help but wonder if a certain person in particular gave it to him. QuietSoul "No sex can be safer, it's a pill wrapped in a little piece of paper."

don't get me wrong it's a good album. Not great... but good. I just hear a good portion of filler. Out of the whole cd, there are only about 4 or 5 (excluding the interludes, which I love) that really stick to my ribs. Stokely is a nice drummer in his own right and he's didn't really showcase that in songs where Chris "Daddy" Dave is absent. For a group of excellent musicians, I'm just not hearing that on this album.

It gets tedious toward the end for me.

The concert at B.B. King's was out of this fucking world!!!!! WOW!!!! All the songs you know and love with some of the new stuff thrown in. As I think about it now, its overwelming. Stokely sounded so good and the band band was tight. I don't know who the new drummer is, but he was on point with every song. And what I like the most was that they gave us about a three song encore. That place was crazy!!! I had a great time. They let me feel why I loved this band for many years.

They NEVER get the respect , or the marketing that they deserve...
I rode all over town Tuesday morning, (release day) trying to find this album at Kmart for 9.99.. I had a bad headache, and it kept getting worse as every Kmart that I went to still hadnt unpacked there shipments, and claimed they couldnt find it.. but eventually found it after a 3 hour tour, in and out of 5 different Kmarts. It was worth the wait.. But such an ugly album cover.. Also, is anyone else surprised that K.L. (Mr. Toni Braxton) left the group?
