Maria McKee (Lone Justice) appreciation thread. What an incredibly satisfying body of work One of the most brilliant lyricists with the vocal punch of lightning. I have been a fan of hers from the first Lone Justice Album. Her voice brings me to another place completely. Any fans of hers here? 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I'll put my hand up for the first Lone Justice album and her first solo album, but everything else she's done has passed by unnoticed by me.
Something I just found out while looking up her profile on allmusic.com - her half-brother is Brian Maclean from L.A. acid-rock heroes Love, the man who wrote the best song (Alone Again Or) on their classic album Forever Changes. Go figure...

I got one song from them. "Dreams come true (stand up and take it)" which is from an 80's film. It is heard in the film also.
Not a bad song, even if it's not my sorta thing.

Not a bad song, even if it's not my sorta thing. From "Shelter". What an album If revivalist spirituality ever had an expression, Shelter is it . [Edited 4/13/05 11:52am] 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740
