Thank u, pali. Not only the cuts the Bee Gees did, BUT all of the other cuts that he wrote for Yvonne, Samantha Sang, Andy, etc. My fave from them has to be "Love So Right". That song is killing! I also dig the title track "Grease" as well. But I adore "If I Can't Have You", "Emotion","More Than A Woman", etc.

In addition to those I'd like to add To Love Somebody. I always felt that was an underrated Bee Gee jam.

Sorry DavidEye I didn't see that you'd already mentioned it.

What's a great album of theirs, not real cheesy and strong all the way through?

I don't consider them cheesy. razz

Main Course (1975) is regarded by most fans to be their best. Home to Nights On Broadway, Jive Talkin' and Fanny (Be Tender With My Love) and a fair amount of good album tracks, too.

It looks like this:

I love it. Great songwriting but perhaps a little too much falsetto for some tastes. It's almost like a Barry Gibb solo effort.

"What can I do for you sir?"
"Yes,please. I was looking for a Bee Gees album...but without too much falsetto."
eek

Nobody gets too much falsetto no more
It's much harder to come by

There are a whole ton of great Brothers Gibb songs.

"Still Waters" is great CD also.

I love the song Smoke And Mirrors.

I like the song "When He's Gone". If any guy said these words to a young lady she'd probably marry him.

You wouldn't believe to what extent
My mind is going to
You wouldn't deny me in your dreams
You couldn't belong to someone else
If you could see me now
And I'd be the only one
When he's gone

So true! Barry's falsetto is featured prominently on that album, more so than the previous albums. It's a kickass album though. The song "Reaching Out" is an underrated gem.

Great album. Not instantly likeable as it's a pretty sombre affair in places, but there's some wonderful songs on it. Marley Purt Drive is my fave track, I can play it and people are always "This is cool, who is this?" Then when I tell them they pull a strange face. lol
