What's lacking? It's a modern day Pele? Are you going to any of the shows? That might change your mind.

Boys For Pele resonates emotionally for me. The Beekeeper doesn't really move me at all. It's lacking the soul that characterized her earlier stuff from '92-'99. Is she touring the UK?

Welcome cuz. Hope you make it. Since you're a fan of her earlier work, I think you'll love the show.

It coloured her work so well. At least she's happy now.

Sometimes it just takes awhile for things to click. I completely skipped over Strange Little Girls and Scarlet's Walk. But now that the new one is out and I'm loving it, I've gone back to those two and they're sounding better than I remembered. Maybe soon you'll catch up to her or she'll catch up to you. Hope so. It sucks when your favorites let you down.

I'm well aware that it can take a while for somebody's work to win you over. Man, I used to hate MJ (apart from a few singles) and now he's my fave male solo artist. My main worry these days is actually Prince. I'm totally unmoved by almost everything he's released since The Truth. That album was like a breath of fresh air. Beyond that there's only Eye Love U But Eye Don't Trust U Anymore, Ur Gonna C Me and Reflection that I have any real love for. There's a few other songs that I think are okay but mostly he just leaves me cold these days. Hopefully he'll pull me back in sometime soon. Maybe Tori will, too.
