A Means To An End

God, how much I love this song...

A legacy so far removed,
One day will be improved.
Eternal rights we left behind,
We were the better kind.
Two the same, set free too,
I always looked to you,
I always looked to you,
I always looked to you.

We fought for good, stood side by side,
Our friendship never died.
On stranger waves, the lows and highs,
Our vision touched the sky,
Immortalists with points to prove,
I put my trust in you.
I put my trust in you.
I put my trust in you.

A house somewhere on foreign soil,
Where ageless lovers call,
Is this your goal, your final needs,
Where dogs and vultures eat,
Committed still I turn to go.
I put my trust in you.
I put my trust in you.
I put my trust in you.
I put my trust in you.
In you. in you. in you.
Put my trust in you, in you.

I had to laugh at the many different versions of Shadowplay I bumped into while browsing today.

They must have loved that song themselves ALOT.

I really can't think of any songs by them that don't completely stun me. They're literally all perfect 10's.

Even They Walked In Line? That chorus is not a 10 to me, hehehe.

Ian could be singing nursery rhymes and I probably wouldn't care. It's the effect the music has on me. The interplay between guitar/bass/drums is as perfect and close to ideal as I've even heard. If I could've invented a sound myself, it would be theirs.

I am glad they are the only one that pulled it off and no one ever since came close to the density of their music...
