Add to that Cream, The Yardbirds (especially Jeff Beck), Sly stone (they influenced each other), James Brown, Little Richard, The Isley Brothers, The Beatles, Frank Zappa (I think) Yep. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

Just saw the clip.
All this time, I was thinking Knee Deep, Flashlight and Atomic Dog was the Parliement/Funkadelic cream of the crop. MAGGOT Brain is so much better. Do you think that Knee deep and that era was Funkadelic/Parliment's "sellout" era? And I always thought Pfunk (funny I never realized that "Pfunk aka punk funk, right? was also short for Parliment/Funkadelic) And I always thought Pfunk was funk but this sound more like acid rock. So was PFunk a funk band that played some rock or a rock band that found commercial success with funk. (there I go analyzing again. ) "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack | |
