'A Night at Studio 54'

Does anybody remember this comp from Casablanca Records? I remember being about 10 or 11 years old and saving money so I could buy it. It had some hot tracks ('In the Bush', 'I Got My Mind Made Up', 'Let's All Chant', etc).

I definately remember that album in the stores. It was a double album and I wanted it so bad back in the day but my grandmother wouldn't buy it for me (she had just spent big money on Donna Summer's double album, "Bad Girls" for me lol ). Over time, I think she eventually bought me every track, in some form individually from that album. She would have saved money by buying me the album in the first place. lol

Cinnie to David: Be advised that discomusic.com does not recommend this set. Their comments: "Although segued, the tracks are not mixed. Just buy the individual records and be done with it."

I hate it when they only seque the songs. If this album was mixed (tracks overlapping), I would be searching for it big time. A good mix to me, is almost as good as a good orgasm. lol

oh I have "Souvenirs" by Voyage, too. ..... and as part of a segued mix "I Found Love" by Love & Kisses.

So the only one I don't have (and probably never heard):
"Hot Jungle Drums and Voodoo Rhythm" D.C. LaRue (sounds funky though)

Yeah,I think it's the single versions. But that's okay, because those songs are mediocre anyway. The box set includes the long versions of the good songs (such as Love And Kisses' superior "Thank God It's Friday").I'm surprised that you don't already have this set!
