In concert this June -Kem with special guest Fanatasia is it me, or does this pairing seem a little odd? Kem is in that Al Jarreau mode which would seem to attract one kind of crowd, and Fantasia's in that Mary J Blige kind of mode...can this possibly work?
of course, i kinda like both, and it's going to be at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, so i'll be on the lawn with my drink in hand, chilling on my blanket you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

Odd combination indeed. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

I dont think its too odd. They both do varying degrees of r&b music. Id buy a ticket.

Agreed. He is talented and she is non- talented ghetto fabalous. Kem moreless lays done some smooth sophisticated jazz. Whereas, Fantasia is just a Mary J wanna be performing music of little relevance.

I think her voice is great, and her personality seems refreshingly uncontrived to me. The Mistress the ultimate oh motherfucker she's so motherfucking bad machine

i'm mainly going to see Fantasia, cuz fuck it, i like her, all the way from the American Idol auditions!!...i like a few of Kem's cuts, but probably wouldn't have gone to see him in concert...These two together just seems like a mash-up..like putting Usher and India Arie together you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

For me to see an amature Fantasia, it would kill my mood b/c I am more into jazz and interested in seeing Kem. Im my opinion, he shoud've been paired up w/someone like Anita Baker and would've been more appealling to me. To each their own.

agreed! i'm envisioning half the crowd not showing up til they think Fantasia is finished, and then the Fantasia crowd walking around by the water when Kem is singing. but hey, maybe they might surprise all of us and work really well together you look better on your facebook page than you do in person
